TELUS · Project Summit

Learning platform for TELUS techs — training, mentorship, and credential certification.

A single LMS replacing ad-hoc training tracking across the entire technician workforce. Launching 2027.

Context

Project Summit is the follow-on contract to TechCentral: a complete overhaul of how TELUS trains, mentors, and certifies its field-services technicians. Where TechCentral solved “where does information live,” Summit solves “how do people grow inside this organization.”

What’s being built

A learning platform with three intertwined surfaces:

  • Training. Structured paths for new hires, role transitions, and continuing education — modular, trackable, and tied into the same identity and role model as TechCentral.
  • Mentorship. Pairing senior technicians with newer ones in a way that’s visible to both, scaffolded by the platform but driven by the people in it.
  • Certification. Credential issuance, expiry, and audit — what a technician is qualified to do, when it was verified, and what’s coming up for renewal.

Training path — modular progression, role-aware, tied into TechCentral identity.

Status

Active development. Launching 2027.
